SKIING IN VERBIER
The combination the three largest mountains of Attelas, Mont Gelé and Mont Fort at Verbier’s doorstep results in the extensive 4 Valleés ski region. A ski area with 95 lifts, over 400km of marked pistes, as well as numerous iconic off-piste itinerary runs like Gentianes, Vallon d’Arbi and the infamous Tortin, which according to the Daily Telegraph is “one of the world’s top ten ski runs”.
A significant portion of Verbier’s ski runs run through dense forests of beautiful ancient pine and larch trees. Arguably the most picturesque in all of the French/Swiss Alps.

Children and beginner skiers are well catered for with dedicated nursery slopes and relaxed slopes, whilst intermediate skiers have a choice of endless green, blue and red runs to perfect their technique or simply cruise from one mountain village to the next. For those looking to test themselves, Verbier has plenty of mogul fields, powder covered couloirs and backcountry terrain to keep the adrenaline flowing for years to come.
With the majority of the pistes lying above 2,000 metres, Verbier is one of the most snow-sure resorts in the Alps with the lifts running from early November through to the beginning of May. And if the weather is right, the lifts open up for summer skiing on the Mont Fort Glacier!
