Ranking in the top five most popular ski resort in Valais and the second largest resort to Verbier in the 4 Valleys, the village features all the usual amenities you’d expect of a mountain resort. These include shops, ski rental and ski schools to restaurants, bars and nightclubs, necessary for that Après Ski after a full day’s skiing.

THE 4 VALLÉES REGION
Nendaz is located in the heart of one of the biggest ski areas in Europe, the 4 Vallées. More than 400 kilometres of pistes await snow sports enthusiasts. From the beginner to the most experienced sportsperson, everyone can find a piste which perfectly suits their taste and their level. Good snow conditions are guaranteed from December to April.
Within the 4 Vallées, Nendaz sits on a sunny plateau at the height of 1350m, promising as much sun as the french riviera in the Summer. Nendaz is famouly easy to get to. It can be reached by plane via Geneva from all the main European airports. For those wanting to take the train, a service operates from Geneva to Sion where there are transfer links that will take you to the resort. By road Nendaz is 1 hour 40 minutes from Geneva.
A residence in Nendaz means living exceptional and exciting experiences every day. Helicopter trips, ski touring, freeriding, sledging, gourmet meals at altitude or evenings with a variety of bars and clubs. New experiences are around every corner.
SKIING IN NENDAZ
The combination the three largest mountains of Attelas, Mont Gelé and Mont Fort at Nendaz’s doorstep results in the extensive 4 Valleés ski region. A ski area with 95 lifts, over 400km of marked pistes, as well as numerous iconic off-piste itinerary runs like Gentianes, Vallon d’Arbi and the infamous Tortin, which according to the Daily Telegraph is “one of the world’s top ten ski runs”.
A significant portion of Nendaz’s ski runs run through dense forests of beautiful ancient pine and larch trees. Arguably the most picturesque in all of the French/Swiss Alps.

Children and beginner skiers are well catered for with dedicated nursery slopes and relaxed slopes, whilst intermediate skiers have a choice of endless green, blue and red runs to perfect their technique or simply cruise from one mountain village to the next. For those looking to test themselves, Nendaz has plenty of mogul fields, powder covered couloirs and backcountry terrain to keep the adrenaline flowing for years to come.
With the majority of the pistes lying above 2,000 metres, Nenda is one of the most snow-sure resorts in the Alps with the lifts running from early December through to the beginning of May. And if the weather is right, the lifts open up for summer skiing on the Mont Fort Glacier!
NON-SKIING ACTIVITIES IN NENDAZ
Aside from the 400km of ski runs, Nendaz has plenty to offer. The winter season in Nendaz has many a great surprise in store for fans of outdoor activities and extreme sports! Mont 4 Zipline
A zipline with a descent of 1.4 km at over 100 km/hour awaits you. Located at 3300 m above sea level, it is the highest zip line in the world. A new way to take in the scenery!
Snowshoe Hiking
Explore the breathtaking scenery at your own pace and get off the beaten track with a shoeshoe hike. Nendaz offers 7 marked snowshoe tracks from 1 to 3 hours to explore the majestic forests.
Sledging
Become the pro of the sledge on the sledging strip in Tortin! Set near the ski run, the 3km long sledge run of Tortin offers a track full of adrenaline. Guaranteed fun for the whole family all season long.
ICE SKATING
Whether you’re taking your first steps on the ice or you want to practice your triple somersault, the ice rink at the sports centre is the place to be. During the season, you can even catch an ice-disco in the evenings.
