Hérémence, perfectly situated at the entrance to the sunny Thyon 2000 holiday region is on the western flank of the Val d’Hérémence at an altitude of 1500-2100m, with views of the world-famous 4000m peaks Matterhorn, Dent-Blanche and Mont-Blanc.
The Thyon 2000 region caters for skiers but also for paragliders, hikers and mountain bikers who appreciate the many options to enjoy their sports.
The Thyon 2000 Region
Thyon 2000 is situated at 2100m high (6889 Feet), on a very sunny plateau and makes up part of the world famous 4 Vallées ski resort (Verbier, Nendaz, Veysonnaz, Thyon). This region boasts 412km of slopes and 92 ski lifts. Enough to please the most adventerous of people.
Hérémence is positioned at the gate of this vast region with an easy access lift straight into the mountains from the town centre. It is also situated just 20 minutes from the town of Sion for major travel connections and amenities.
Aside from the close proximity to the Thyon 2000 region, Hérémence also allows for access to the Grande Dixence Dam on the Lac des Dix lake.
Skiing in Hérémence
With cable car links between Hérémence and Thyon 2000 to provide access to over 400km of ski pistes and off-piste trails, Hérémence provides some of the best skiing routes in Valais. Cable cars allow for skiing altitudes of up to 2100m.
With such a large skiiable area, you will find pistes perfectly suited to your ability. And with the great links across the 4 Vallées, the region will keep you excited for years to come.

Located in the Commune of Hérémence in Valais, Switzerland, a stone’s throw from the ski resort of Thyon 2000 Les Collons. Hérémence offers visitors all the character of age-old traditions that coexist with modern infrastructure.
The spacious Chalet is composed of 5 bedrooms and a studio that can comfortably accommodate up to 12 people. It boasts a large living room with a wood-burning fireplace. Along with a dining room, perfect for socialising and an open kitchen with a wrap around balcony. A completely relaxing space. The property offers a sauna suite, huge outdoor jacuzzi terrace and breath-taking views as far as the Matterhorn.
Winter in Hérémence
Winter sports is one of the key things to put Hérémence on the map. Skiing and Snowboarding being the most popular activities in the area. With over 400km of pistes throughout the 4 Vallées, easily accessible by ski lifts and cable cars just a short walk from our property location.
Fantastic snow coverage in the area guarantees excellent ski conditions up to an altitude of 3300m. The 4 Valleys area offers almost unlimited opportunities for all skiers and snowboarders, beginners, families and even professionals riders.
With its undulating pistes perfectly maintained, off-piste runs or very technical black runs, the 4 Vallées has earned an international reputation and enjoys a very favorable snow conditions from December to April (thanks to its high altitude and the snowmaking contribution).
If skiing or snowboarding isn’t your idea of fun, why not take a magical walk through the dense forests surrounding Hérémence. In the winter months you will find these dusted in snow, a real-life winter wonderland.
Summer in Hérémence
Hérémence and the entire district of Hérens see beautiful summers. As the snow melts and reveals the luscious green forests, you will see red geraniums flooding the meadows. Bubbling streams make their way to crystal clear lakes nestled between the mountains partnered with the world’s highest gravity dam, which remain snow capped due to their high altitude.
There’s plenty to do in the warmer months, from experiencing a big dose of adrenalin from riding on the AlpinLine zip line (the longest in French-speaking Switzerland) to exploring the unique and powerful looking Church of St. Nicholas. And don’t miss a visit to the Alpage de Mandelon, one of Valais’s largest and most beautiful alpine pastures.
